JudicialOutlook 2009 Overview  _________________________________________________________________________________________
 Overview
JudicialOutlook is a judicial scheduling and resource workflow system which is tightly integrated into Microsoft Outlook.  It is also built on the scheduling and judicial portal system; JCalendar. The advantage of this solution is that the Court can access all of its resources and schedules through a commonly used well know interface (Outlook) while still gaining the functionality of access to the web-portal.

 Schedule Management
Scheduling is the primary hub of the workflow in most business processes and it is especially true with the judiciary. JudicialOutlook provides a comprehensive scheduling and workflow integration tool, specifically tailored to the local and state trial courts. It was designed as the single case and resource workflow tool to be used by the judge and court staff which is completely integrated into Microsoft Outlook.

  Document Management
Document management is an essential component for any judicial workflow solution. JudicialOutlook integrates JDocs, its Microsoft Word add-in, for document and template generation as well as "drag and drop" electronic filing functionality.

Resource Management   Collaboration and Media Sharing   Mobile access management
JudicialOutlook brings access to any courth resource to the judges fingertips. Real-time resource assignment  and notification is fully integrated into the system, giving the judge immediate access to interpreters, courtreporters, media services, and more. Remote collaboration is essential for conducting efficient proceedings in today's high-tech courthouse. JudicialOutlook is integrated to the most popular video/audio conferencing systems on the market. This provides the judge with direct access to A/V conferencing resources from the bench. It also provides state-of-the-art document and media collaboration built in. Todays judiciary requires many ways to intake and review case and schedule data. MobileDocket (JudicialOutlook's "mobile" version) provides this remote and mobile extension. MobileDocket 2009 extends its predecessor's functionality with new "local" storage and synchronization capabilities in addition to full document and forms submittal.

 Security and Encryption
Security was and continues to be a key requirement of the foundational development in the JudicialOutlook products. The system inherintly provides many layers of security, from fully encrypted (128 bit RSA) data transfer to Triple DES user/forms-based authentication on the client applications. We also provide a third layer of encryption (optional) which can be implemented on the database field level.

  Integrated messaging
Messaging is a key component to running an efficient and informative courtroom. JudicialOutlook provides integrated messaging to all of its users to use as a real-time IM system. it also enables the judge and other court staff to send immediate messages to LCD lobby screens for paging and case calling workflow processes.

  RSS subscriptions
Customizable RSS subscriptions can be created to share and deliver real-time information from the JudicialOutlook datastores. JCast, a proprietary casting solution, uses these RSS streams to "cast",  schedule and case data, to connected LCD screens throughout the courthouse. This assists in delivering location and schedule information to the court's patrons.
